I discovered my passion for psychology in middle school when I helped a friend navigate their battle with depression. Since then, I have been committed to becoming a therapist, and this passion has only grown. I consider it a privilege to contribute to someone else’s personal growth and self-discovery—nothing brings me greater happiness. I earned my master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas. In my free
time, I enjoy traveling, swing dancing, and playing board games.
Professional Experience
In therapy sessions, I employ a collaborative approach, working with clients to develop individualized strategies that best meet their needs. My focus is on equipping clients with information and tools they feel comfortable using both inside and outside of therapy, helping them build confidence and empowerment to manage their symptoms independently. I have experience with Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Behavioral approaches, and Solution-Focused Therapy.

Expertise in treating adolescents, adults, and families dealing with trauma, ADHD, depression, anxiety, and life transitions.

Lilli Jorgens

From a young age, I have had a passion for helping others and listening to other people’s stories and experiences. I was drawn to working in mental health due to this and having loved ones who experienced anxiety, depression, and other concerns related to their mental health. After taking an introductory level psychology course in high school, this solidified my passion to become a
therapist. I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Some of my values as a clinician include being curious and open-minded, as well as valuing connections with others. In my free time, I enjoy being in nature, reading, quality time with loved ones, listening to music, and cooking.

I have clinical experience in working with individuals, children, and adolescents with concerns related to anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, life transitions, relational conflict, identity, and neurodivergence.

I believe connection and support are crucial for growth and healing. Creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to feel seen, heard, and accepted is my priority. I work from a trauma-informed and systemic lens, meaning I believe it is important to understand your experiences and relationships, as they are a significant part of your story.

I will meet you where you are, whether you have previously received therapeutic services or are dipping your toes in the therapy waters for the first time. Using a warm, strength-based approach with a bit of humor, I hope to bring a sense of calm and encouragement to ease discomfort that can come with vulnerability and growth. We will work together to identify goals that will guide our focus. I will offer gentle insight-building to support you in bringing awareness to maladaptive patterns that aren’t serving you and empower you in creating positive changes for yourself and your relationships. My goal is for you to know you are not alone, your feelings are valid, and you are worthy. I have a particular passion for working with individuals in the neurodiverse and LGBTQIA+ communities.

I utilize techniques from a variety of evidence-based modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Internal Family Systems Therapy. I often use language from attachment theory, which asserts that experiences with our primary caregivers in infancy and early childhood influence our development and functioning. I am very interested in the connection between the mind and body, and I enjoy sharing knowledge on how the nervous system can be soothed to promote emotional and mental well-being. I work from a person-centered framework and adapt techniques to fit your needs.
